BENEDICTINES OF DIVINE WILL

ABOUT US
OUR MISSION
Living and Sharing the Gospel
Our mission is to live and share the Gospel of Christ with the Church and world. We fully embrace the Second Vatican Council, and strive to live in humble obedience to the Pope and the College of Bishops. While our primary work is contemplative prayer, we also do retreat and mission work, provide spiritual direction, and work to integrate the Divine Will writings of the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta into the life of the Church. We believe Sacred Scripture, Tradition, and obedience to the Magisterium come first. Everything else comes after.

DAILY LIFE
Ora et Labora
We live a contemplative, monastic life of work and prayer according to the Rule of St. Benedict. The Orarium includes meditation upon Sacred Scripture and celebration of the Sacred Liturgy. The Divine Office is prayed before Jesus exposed in the Blessed Sacrament, and all brothers are dedicated to private Eucharistic Adoration, the Rosary, and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

FOUNDATION
At the Heart of the Church
The Benedictine Monks of Divine Will was founded by Fr. Elijah John Joseph of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and erected as a Public Association of the Faithful on December 21, 2014 by His Excellency, Bishop Andrea Turazzi, the Emeritus Bishop of San Marino-Montefeltro. The first Postulant of the community was Br. Giovanni Giuseppe Maria of the Child Jesus, who is now the Prior of the Italian community. Pictured here is our first monastery, the Pieve di Carpegna, a 12th century Romanesque Church and monastery that Bishop Turazzi entrusted to the community.
